While most rounds of this caliber are at a velocity of 1400 fps and higher, we put this round at 1200 fps tested out of both a Ruger SP101 3″ and a LCR. In using calibrated FBI organic gel, we experienced a consistent penetration depth of 18-22″, with up to .400″ of expansion using Hornady XTP HPs.
This round is much easier shooting than most commercial made rounds, and has less blast and abuse on both the firearm and the shooter.
It is made in both JHP for defensive, and a Round Nose Flat Point RNFP for range practice. Both are calibrate at the same velocity, so both rounds will hit to the sights accurately
