Developed in collaboration with Bruce Cartwright (Retired FBI) and Chuck Haggard of Agile Training & Consulting, this load represents a modern evolution of the classic FBI-issued ammunition from the early 1990s.
Replacing the original 145-grain Silvertip at 1,200 fps, this updated load features a 140-grain Hornady XTP bullet with a muzzle velocity of approximately 1,000 fps from a 4-inch barrel. It delivers consistent penetration exceeding 18 inches, along with reliable expansion. Importantly, it achieves this performance with significantly reduced recoil, muzzle blast, and wear—benefiting both the revolver and the shooter.
